So thankful for you (DCD post)

I hope everyone is having a great day. Hopefully the election didn't spoil the day for you, I'm honestly glad it is over. Anywho....

My card today is for the November challenge for the Die Cut Diva's. Our challenge is Thankful/ Thank you, very appropiate for the month with Thanksgiving around the corner. We have two wonderful sponsors this month and they are One Happy Cut and Bugaboo.

I used a lot of Lawn Fawn products on my card today, I recently got the trees for my birthday and wanted to use them. I die cut the tree lines out of white cardstock and used pattern paper for the tree tops. I used a leaf and sentiment for an older set to stamp it along the border. I created a little border shadow with copics

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

You color my world

This month over at the Die Cut Diva's our challenge is something new and we welcome the ever wonderful One happy Cut as our sponsor this month! The something new can be anything from simply being a new item to trying a new technique. For my first card this month I decided to do a new technique. Now I did not come up with this, but after watching Jennifer McGuire's video I knew I had to give it a try.

I made a stamp using a die and some fun foam, now talking about stretching the use of our supplies!

I started by die cutting my shape out of some fun foam and adding some repositionable adhesive to it. After I added it to my acrylic block I inked and stamped it like normal. (Making sure to clean it off very well between colors) Once the background was stamped out, I used the stamp in the set to offset stamp the outline on the crayons.

I think it a technique I will be using again to stretch my supplies and get more life out of them! Imagine the possibilities with all the dies we own!!! :-)

Don't forget to stop by the Diva's blog to play along for your chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Joy of Christmas...

Hello everybody! I can't believe we are just 4 days away from Christmas!!! I'm sure the rest of you are all ready with all the gifts wrapped and cards done, right! I know I'm not there yet... with packing and preparing the house to be put on the market, I've fallen a little behind, but I won't let squash my spirit! I think I'm annoying some of my coworkers since most of them are on the count down for the season to be over and the store to go some what back to normal. I call the scrooges when the scowl at me signing along with the Christmas songs! ;-)

On to my card which of course is what you came by to see!

I stamped the image and sentiment on some watercolor paper. Then using some distress markers and a (re used) wink of stella, I colored it in. (If you are wondering what I mean by reused wink of stella... I filled the barrel with water once the original liquid ran dry.) It does double duty as it leaves tons of shimmer while I watercolor the image! Which you can see better in the image below.

I ran a white panel through my cuttlebug and adhered it to the card base, before adding the colored panel. I felt it needed just a bit more sparkle so I added a few die cut glitter snowflakes.

Be sure to stop by and play along with our challenge over at Die Cut Diva's! We would love to see what you make and you then have a chance to win one of two prizes this month!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season!!!

Warm Christmas Wishes

Today I'm sharing a card for the December warm and cozy challenge over a the Die Cut Diva's. Hop over the the blog to play along for a chance to win one of two prizes. One Happy Cut is giving a $15 gift certificate and Bugaboo is offering 7 free digi images ( winners choice).

My card...

I printed and colored the image using copics. Die cut the word wishes using a Sizzix/Tim Holtz thinlet die. Stamped my sentiment on the die cut panel and adhered wishes. After I adhered the panels to the cardbase, I added glossy accents to the ornaments, berries and candy cane. To add an extra touch to the card I tucked a few snowflakes under the colored panel.

Here is a closer look at the glossy accents

Mini Jar Card

Hello everyone, I'm here today with the last post for the Die Cut Divas Shape challenge. Wanted to thank our great sponsors...

and

My last shaped card for the month..
I started out by stamping the jar and the pumpkins. I then die cut both jar shapes before I colored the images. The sentiment was stamped on vellum and fussy cut before being adhered onto the jar. It doesn't make for a big card, but a great mini card perfect to be added to a little thank you gift!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Dancer

Stopping in with a card today for the Die Cut Diva's blog challenge. This month the challenge is shaped cards our sponsors are...
One Happy Cut
and

Don't forget to play along for a chance to win a prize from one of our wonderful sponsors!

Today's card...

I started by printing off the image and then cut it using a die. I then colored it with copics. I die cut another oval  for the back of the card and scored it about quarter of an inch from the top. Adhered the ovals together and add just a tad of stickles to the center of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

So thankful for you!

I'm here with my last Die Cut Diva post for September. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors
We had sketch challenge this month and I choose the following sketch for today's card.
Here is my card...

I adore this turtle from Bugaboo, he's are so stinkin' cute! I printed the turtle on cardstock and colored him with copics. I trimmed all the panels to size and adhered them together on the card base. I die cut the little leaves from the cardstock and distressed them before adding them to the card. Added the sentiment last since I wasn't sure where it was going. Not a hundred percent on it's final placement, but I think'll work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great!!!

My card...

I started my card by die cutting the jack-o-lantern face twice, then inlaid the yellow bits into the orange pumpkin. Stamped the sentiment and added some clear wink of stella to the yellow pieces. I adhered my layers onto the embossed base. To finish the card I added some washi to the opposite corners and added a bow to follow the sketch.

U R Cool

This month at Die Cut Divas is a sketch challenge. Hope you join us, our sponsors are
There are two sketches to try I chose the one below for my card today ans am showcasing both sponsors.
Here is my take on the sketch.

I colored my Bugaboo image with copics and cut it down to size. Adhered it to a black piece of cardstock. Before putting  the cardstock panel onto my pattern paper I punched holes in it for the apple brads. Once all the layers were glued to the base I die cut my sentiment and added it to the card.
I'm hoping one of my three boys will enjoy working the word puzzle!

Thanks for stopping by and have great day!!!
