Dad's day cards...

Today will be a quick post to share the cards I made for my dad and father-in-law. I used Lawn Fawn because I love them so! They have some awesome images to color ( I love to color) and I love the puns.

 Card number one...

I stamped and color the grill with copics on a scrap panel. Took the utensils from the same set to add a border to peek out from under the panel. Die cut the word dad and adhered it to the panel before popping the panel on the card using foam tabs.

Card number two...

inside number two...

I stamped and colored the condiment bottles with copics then stamped the letters D and A. Used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Stamped the sentiment and adhered the die cuts above it. For the inside I stamped the sentiment and image then colored in the image.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!!!
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Peace

Just poppin' in under the wire for a card that I'm linking to Muse: ChristmasVisions.
The Muse:

My take:

I embossed the poinsettia and the wood word in gold. Watercolored the poinsettia with a metallic mint gelato. Added some gold beads for the center. I decided to use some washi with gold and silver snowflakes to add a little interest on the side, before adhering the panel to the card.

I added a little close up so you could see the metallic shimmer.

ETA:
Woo hoo! Thanks  I'm honored!

Thanks for coming by and have a great day!

Pink butterfly

A quick thinking of you I made with a few challenges in mind.

and at
CASology

My clean and simple card...

A closeup of the butterfly so you can see the ombre and sparkle!

The card was finished pretty quickly. Starting with the background I used gray ink for a tone on tone background with a stencil. The panel was a scrap paper that I stamped with the butterfly and sentiment, then used a small circle punch to add the decorative corners. On another scrap I stamped and colored the butterfly again with some copics before fussy cutting it. It's glued to the panel by it's body while the wings are attached with foam squares for dimension. One the glue was dry I added clear Wink of Stella over the intire butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Muse #105

I'm hoping to get at least one more post done today if not 2 so I will make this quick. This week's Muse is Marion Vagg

Here is my take from her card...

I purchased this stamp from Close to my Heart a while back and am finally using it! My square is bigger and instead of adding a layer of dimension between the white and gray, I colored and fussy cut an extra flower for the added dimension.

Love always wins

Hello everyone and Happy New Year. I've been a little side tracked lately and not making many cards and posting them to any challenges. Hopefully I can get back on track now that things are calming down and the boys are back to school! (Well when it's not -10 outside)  On to my first card of the new year and I'm starting off with Valentine's, it'll be here before I know it.

Today's card is going to added to the challenge over at the Muse challenge blog, as well as the Simon Says Stamp Monday blog and Wednesday blog .

Muse DT call entry

This is a quick post for my entry in the Muse DT call. They say for the entry you can enter something old or new. I scrolled through my flicker account to see if there was one that I had done already to use. I came across this card that I never posted and thought it was perfect.

I love the gnome and his mushroom home! Lawn Fawn has some of the cutest images! ;-) The call is running until the 11th of December for anyone that would like to go for it, or if you'd like to help pick a winner voting starts on the 12th of December. Anyone can vote for up to 3 cards. There are already quite a few wonderful projects entered. It'll be a tough decision for the voters. Good luck to all that enter!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Anniversary

Today I'm sharing a card that I will be adding to Muse Challenge #87.  Here is the muse card for this challenge...

I liked the colors and design so I used an interpretation of both for my card.

My leafy sprig wasn't very long so I had to do some selective stamping to make it a little longer. Since I wasn't to sure how well I would do I didn't stretch to far into the middle. Once I was done with the left side I thought the right was to bare so I added a few on that side as well. I also wanted to use an embossing folder to since I hadn't in a while.
The leafy sprigs (CTMH) and sentiment (Hero Arts) were stamped in Pistachio (Memento Luxe), while the berries (CTMH) were stamped using Morocco (Memento Luxe) then I added some orange stickles to make them sparkle. I'm loving the stamp set the sprigs and berries are from, I've used another from the same set in my Thankful for you card

Oh and I decided to try my hand at adding this to Virginia's View challenge. I thought it would be a nice addition the Clean and Simple challenge she is having this month. I've been wanting to play along and this card seemed like a good first try!

Thanks for stopping by!

Get well turtle!

I love Lawn Fawn stamps they are so stinkin' cute I can't help but grab for some just about every time I sit down to stamp! I will be linking this card up to a couple of challenges.
The first is Lawnscaping challenges

I played around with a couple of others before coming up with this one. I may still use the others, but don't know that I like the way the would have look as a one layer card. So I ended up with this:

The colors and layout where inspired by the Muse challenge.

I used a lot of washi tape to tape off my different areas for watercoloring and stamping. The pink color is Picked Raspberry distress ink and marker. I used a black pen to help define some of the "layers". The card was fun and not very time consuming, the water color was dry enough to continue from one area to the next when I was ready to move on. The little turtle is so adorable I've used him a few times before, can't get enough of him!

I will also add this card to the Simon Says Wednesday challenge blog. They are celebrating Stamptember!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by!!!
