Wish big...

Hello all  I'm here to share a quick post . My youngest turns 7 tomorrow! He's growing up way to fast. Today's card is for him. I had the Lawscaping and retro sketches challenges in mind when I made it.

It was a simple card to make. It had to be since I did most of it while I was at work, minus the splatters and die cutting! ;-)

I added green and a splash of gold for color. Those were requested colors by him... I think he likes that is birthday is on St. Patricks day!

I followed the sketch pretty much to a T. I didn't want to complicate things by over thinking the card since I didn't do a lot of the process at home.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Keep Cozy

Today's card is for our challenge over at Die Cut Diva's and it uses an argyle patter on it. What's more warm and cozy than a warm sweater?!  I love the stamp set I used to day it's great for backgounds any time of the year. I am also linking this to the Lawnscaping Challenge

I started off by stamping the stitched diamonds in dark gray and then the diamond patterns in two shades of blue. I added the die cut stitching above, below and in the middle of my stamping. Heat embossed my sentiment and a wood veneer snowflake in silver, then decided I wanted my stitching to be silver too. I layered my panel onto navy card stock. I finished it off by adhering a stitched snowflake with the embossed snowflake to the card.

Here is a closer look...

Thanks for stopping by, we can't wait to see all your warm and cozy creations!

Happy Halloween panels

Stopping in with a quick post today to share a card that I adding to

and

challenge blogs. Here is my card...

I started my card by stamping the images on a panel. After I colored them, I cut the panel in four pieces and layered them on pattern paper. I used the same pattern paper to cover the card base and added my panels to a larger panel. Once everything was adhered I stamped my sentiment up the side.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!!

Argyle Boo

Dropping in with a quick post for the Lawnscaping challenge

Here is the card I made with the challenge in mind...

I die cut the letter using some post it so they would stick to the card base. Once they were down I started stamping my design. I peeled the letters off and felt they needed a little help standing out from the stamping, so I took a black pen and traced the edges.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

You're tops in my book bag

Hello all! I'm stopping by with a quick post to share a project I made with the Lawnscaping challenge in mind.

I will also link this up with the Simon Says Stamp Tie it up challenge.

I die cut the bag three times. Once on the book pattern and  twice on the denim paper. On a separate scratch piece of cardstock I stamped the book and sentiment. I colored the book with copics and the sentiments were cut and I distressed the edges. After adhering everything together and tied the top with some twine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Baby Shower

A quick post to share a card I made for a friends baby shower later today. I was busy yesterday making other things for the baby shower (maybe I'll get pictures of them posted too). Here is the card, which I'll link up too Lawnscaping challenge.

I stamped the images on the white panel and colored them in with copics. Added a blue and white polka dot panel to the white before adhering both to the card base. Once that was done I added some wink of stella and glossy accents.

Here is a closer look at the sparkle and shine...

Let's Chill

Today's quick post is a card I made and will link up to the CASology and the Lawnscaping challenges.

I decided to use the fun drinks from Hero Arts, stamp them multiple times across my panel and color them in with copics.

I added some washi on the card before attaching the panel and stamped the sentiment. Once everything was on the card I added clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the drinks. As a last minute addition I decided to add a little bling to the fruit centers in coordinating colors.

Here is closer look and the sparkle and shine! I love the Wink of Stella for a fast drying hint of shimmer.

Hello everyone, I'm so glad you stopped by! Today I'm joining the fun with the Lawnscaping Challenge blog hop. My first one ever, I'm so excited!!!

There are so many talented crafters and prizes on the hop, so make sure to stop by and visit them for a chance to win from on of the awesome sponsors.

For the background I stamped the drink rings and coffee bean in versa mark then dusted on the Perfect Pearls. On the panel I stamped and colored the coffee cups with copics before adding the sentiment. Decided the panel needed a little something else, so I ran it through the cuttlebug with the stitched borders and love how the stitched border looks.

Keep Cool and announcement...

Hello all! Today I'm showing a card I made for the Lawnscaping Challenge blog.

The technique I decided to try finally is spotlighting or spotlight stamping... or at least that is what I've heard it referred to as. If you aren't sure what that is, it's stamping your images and only coloring the ones in the "spotlight" area in color.
Here is my card...

I first traced a circle where my spotlight area would be then stamped the images (making sure that each touched inside the circle). Once I was done with the stamping I started coloring. First with the inside of the spotlight carefully trying not to go over my pencil line. I then erased the pencil line and colored the rest of the images in using my grays. Maybe next time I'll use smaller images to fit things in the circle a little better to show off the bright colors more.

Before I go I wanted to let you know that I am now part of the Die Cut Divas design team!!! I'm so excited to be apart of their team you will see my first card for the blog on June 1st. Hope to see you there.

Also I will be a part of an upcoming Lawnscaping blog hop towards the end of June so keep an eye for that as well!
I'm over the moon excited for both of those adventures!

Thanks for stopping by and have great day!

Birthday balloons

Happy Friday everyone! Well it is for me as this is the start of a 3 day weekend for me!!! ;-) I thought I'd stop in with a quick post to share a card I made with two challenges in mind. Even though I'm a little late on getting the card done for the watercolor challenge at Lawnscaping I still wanted to do it. The other challenge is CASology.

Here is what I came up with...

I stamped and watercolored the balloons on watercolor paper. Stamped the sentiment and music notes, then decided to add some color to the notes as well. Found some washi that coordinated with my balloons and adhered all to a card!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Spring Flower

Hello again! I'm back with a card I made today using this die from Memory Box...

It was a free die with a December purchase from Simon Says stamp. I'm finally using it today but not to make peas in a pod. I thought it would make a pretty flower and I'm loving the turn out!

I ran the die through the cuttlebug 5 times for the petal and then added some ink tho them. Watercolored the background and began layering the petals on. I wanted dimension so that I could play along with the Lawnscaping challenge (Dimension) as well as both Simon Says challenges April showers/ Spring Flowers and In the middle and over at the Die Cut Divas for their In The Garden challenge.

Here is a closer look and the deminsion as well as the stickles I added for a little sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

Happy St. Patrick's day

Today's card was made with challenges in mind. Lawnscaping (Dots and Stripes), Simon Says stamp (Just a hint of clover) and the challenge I do with my little group of friends (use 3 pattern papers).

Here is what I came up with...

To make my shamrocks I used a heart punch with three different papers and scored them down the center. I used some twine for the stems and added a rhinestone in the middle to cover where the 3 hearts meet. I don't have a shamrock shape die or punch and thought the hearts turned out just as nice!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time!
Have a great week!

Happy Birthday

Third post of the day... I feel like I've been busy bee today! I wanted to be sure to join the fun over at Lawnscaping challenges, they are celebrating their 100th challenge!!!

Here is my card for the challenge...

I used some distress ink to color the background for the die cut letters. Stamped the two birds on top with some musical notes so they are singing the birthday song!

Here is a closer look at the birds so you can see the sparkle that I added.

I'm also going to add this to the Simon Says All Creatures Great and Small challenge.

Java Joy!

Hello everyone! Got a card for you that I made for the little challenge between my friends a I. Got it done while skyping again too... I'm getting better at being creative while having the virtual chat! ;-) Our challenge this time around was was based off an image I found while perusing pinterest.
Just love the mugs! I am going to post the card to a couple of challenges since it fits in the criteria.

and

Here is my finished card...

I made the polka dot paper by stamping and heat embossing a polka dot stamp, then using distress inks to color. I then finally used the die from SSS that came in a kit to cut out the coffee mugs. Added some stickles to help the hearts stand out a little more and stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Love you a Latte

Hello again with a very short post to share a card I made for the Lawnscaping Challenge.

I stamped multiple images from the Love you a Latte Lawn Fawn set and heat embossed them. I then colored the background with Worn Lipstick Festive Berries and Peacock Feathers. I used a Tim Holtz Stencil  and Fired Brick to make the coffee rings on the backgound. Stamped and colored the panel with copics. Then attached it to some vellum to add a faint border, so I wouldn't hide much of the background. Added a few sequins and called it done.

Thanks again for stopping by! I better go get my errands done! ;-)
Monica

With all my heart

Good Morning!!! I'm about to run out the door to get some errands done while the boys are at school, but I wanted to get some cards posted to challenges before I left. Just in case! This first card is getting linked to SSS Wed challenge and Lawnscaping.

I did end covering a lot of the background, but wanted to make sure there was plenty white space around the heart.

I heat embossed the background with chevron and used distress inks to color it. I then used the same distress inks to color the heart from a Heidi Swapp stencil and used the stamp that came with it for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
