APR SID challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to my post for Stick It Downs April card sketch challenge! I decided add a little extra challenge for myself and not use any stamps. Which pains me to do, I pay for them and should use them... right?! ;-) Here is this months sketch...

For my card I used one of the many paper packs in stash. I have tons and haven't been using them very often, but keep buying them because they are so cute... anyone else have that problem? Anywho... I found a pack that had some cut aparts that would work for a main image with a little sentiment. Cut up all the layers needed using all patterns from the pack. Once all the layers are the card base I added some twine and a bow as well as some gem embellishments for a little sparkle.

Hope to see you over at Stick It Down with your card based on the card sketch or one of our scrapbook layouts! Love to see how you use the sketches. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

MAR SID- Happy Birthday

Hello all welcome to my post for Stick It Downs March card sketch! Have you played along yet? If not I encourage to play along, it's fun to see how everyone uses the sketches every month!

For my card I used the sketch basics, I thought about adding something to it like the butterfly in the sketch, but changed my mind after using the Stickles glitter gel. I ended up not want to cover all the fun gold sparkles and didn't want to do too much to since the card is from my youngest boy. He's my St. Patrick's day boy and loves anything St. Pats for his birthday, so I know he'll forgive me for using glitter!

Here is a closer look at all the pretty sparkle, I had to impulsively get all the gels when they came out last year and this is the first time I've used any of them. Gotta say I LOVE them!

FEB

Hello all and welcome to Feb and our newest Challenge! Here is our fun sketch for this month...

I pulled out an older paper pad for my card. I'm working on finishing the pad... only a few sheets left. The heart I had was a little bigger, but I was ok with that since everything else was to small in my opinion. I used a larger sentiment strip to balance the heart and think they work together nicely. Added some sparkles and called it done!

Jan SID 2021

Hello and welcome to Stick IT Down's first challenge of 2021!

I turned my card sideway compared to the Sketch, and that's because the cardstock and paper we pre cut for a project. I ended up wanting to use them for this sketch and thought it looked good horizontal, so I went with it! The ribbon, cardstock and paper are from Stampin' up, except for the banner. The big hello die is from Avery Elle, and I love it! It was one of my first die cut words and is one of my favorites still!

SID Dec

Hello all I'm here to share my card for Stick It Downs Dec card sketch! Here is the sketch that we worked with this month.

I made a wreath and kept it a winter theme. I used wreath die and decorated it with snowflakes in a few different colors to keep the blue and white color theme. For my background I added some distress oxide to an embossing folder and ran it through my machine, it's what got me to go with my winter wreath idea.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!

SID Nov

Here is the November card sketch for Stick It Down, loved the splatter in background!

Here is my card on for this months sketch... I used the splatter and a little bit of pattern paper. I had thought about using some snowflakes hanging down, but changed my mind when I remembered I has some wooden trees! I haven't used them in a long time and figured it was time to pull something out of my stash! Added a little bit of bling to the card and called it done. I may have to do another card using the sketch.... I like the hanging hearts idea too.

SID Oct- Wicked

Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to my card for Stick It Down October card sketch!

When I saw the sketch I had the perfect die in mind for a halloween card! When I headed to the craft room to start I couldn't find the die, after searching for a bit I moved on to stamp and die set that I hadn't used before. I was determined to keep with the halloween theme though! ;-)

Most of the card is die cuts with the haunted house being stamped then die cut and popped up with some foam adhesive. The background quickly became my favorite part of the card, I loved the way the distress oxide color combo (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Black Soot) came together for a slightly spooky sky.
