Aug SID- Leafy hello

Hello friends and welcome to August and my card for Stick It Down card sketch. We are changing things a bit if you haven't heard you can read the details on the Stick It Down blog here.  We are not going away just moving a bit. Here is our card sketch this month.

For my card I started with using some Distress Oxides to color a scrap of white cardstock. Then I die cut my leaves and glued them to a layer of white cardstock, before cutting it down a little smaller. I decided I liked the idea of a thin colored layer of cardstock behind the leaf panel, so I used the same ink to match the layer with my leaves. I then added it to a cardbase. I die cut my sentiment out of a scrap of pattern paper left on my "mesk" using an old favorite hello die. Since my background and my hello were both a little busy with colors I layered my hello on some vellum and adhered it to the card.

Now to send this tropical, summery and very Gold Girls like card to someone... "Shady Pines, Ma!"

Hope to see you over on the new Facebook group with your card based on the card sketch or one of our scrapbook layouts! If you aren't a member yet please see the post here for the link. We all love to see how you use the sketches. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Jan SID 2021

Hello and welcome to Stick IT Down's first challenge of 2021!

I turned my card sideway compared to the Sketch, and that's because the cardstock and paper we pre cut for a project. I ended up wanting to use them for this sketch and thought it looked good horizontal, so I went with it! The ribbon, cardstock and paper are from Stampin' up, except for the banner. The big hello die is from Avery Elle, and I love it! It was one of my first die cut words and is one of my favorites still!

Hope to see you over at Stick It Down with your card based on the card sketch or one of our scrapbook layouts! Love to see how you use the sketches. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Jun SID- Life's a beach

Hello crafty friends, it's time to share my card for June's Stick It Down Sketch. Here is a look at the sketch incase you haven't seen it yet.
Here is my card, I stayed pretty true to the sketch this time around, just moved my sentiment to the bottom portion of my main image. I just recently acquired an Avery Elle set that has been on my wish list since it was released and wanted to use it for this months card. I searched through my stash for some pattern paper and found an older Lawn Fawn pack that would be perfect. I layered the paper according to the sketch and added my colored die cut beach houses with some foam adhesive.

Please don't forget to join us over at Stick It Down to play along. We also have two layout sketches if you want to play along with the scrapping teams! Can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Birthday Drink

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my Father in Law. I used the Fusion Card Challenge for inspiration, I like the sketch and the colors were looking like the picture until added the pattern paper.
My image is from a retired set by Avery Elle. I wanted to tie the card to the gift. My FIL likes non alcoholic beer so we got some new ones for him to try.

I stamped the outline in black and the "beer" in Fossilized Amber distress ink. Then I die cut it with the double stitched rectangles from MFT stamps. I layered my pattern strips and image layer on gray cardstock. I measured the where the layers would be and stamped my sentiment so that it would be in between the layers. Then added all of my layers to my cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Aug CCC

I'm here today to share my card for the Aug CCC. I can't believe it is the first of September already, but I do love September! It's my birthday month and my hubby's too!!! :-)
For this months card I used the color combo

and the sketch

My card...

I used some copy paper as my mask to add the "rays" of color. For the gray piece I used some ink to color a scrap of paper. Once it was covered I used some perfect to make it look metallic and ran it throw with an embossing folder. Die cut the hello and then adhered all the parts together.

This little picture is the ATC I made to go with the card. I decided I would make these to add to the cards. I'd never made one before and thought they looked like fun to do.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Hello Chevrons...

Hello everyone I'm coming by to share a card I made with the following image as my inspiration.

I just love the colors of that bird, I want to keep him as a pet! Can I keep him mom, can I??? ;-) This was a part of the challenge I play with a few friends to encourage us to use our stuff! We were to use a minimum of three colors.

Here is my card...

I started with a white panel, covered it with a stencil and the used distress inks to color it. I trimmed the panel and adhered it to a gray piece, which then was added to my card base. I die cut the sentiment using the same gray cardstock, adhered it to the panel and added some sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and a have a wonderful day!

Hello

Hello all! Today's card is another for the Die Cut Divas. I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps

The challenge is June bug if want to join us for a chance to win!

I colored the dragon fly with copics and fussy cut it. I used the negative of my hello die as my sentiment ( I love the font) mounted on black cardstock. The card is simple but I love how the colorful dragonfly pops off the page.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Simple hello

Here with a quick card today. I will be linking up this card to the Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge blog.

For my card I die cut the word four times coloring only one with copics, so it would stand out. Adhered them to the card base and cutting off anything that extended over the edges.

Thanks for stopping by.
