Birthday Herd

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. I'm working this weekend but am trying to make the best of it when I'm off. For example I'm about to head to the movies with my teenage son, to see Avengers... finally! Yesterday I came home to an empty house and got to craft in silence, well not complete silence as I was crafting with mom on the phone! Skyping would be easier, but she doesn't have the best internet options out in the boonies. ;-)

I focused on making a card with the Addicted to CAS theme in mind.

Here is the card I made...

...and the inside...

I used a scrap that was laying on my desk and started stamping the critters. I've seen a card like this and can't remember who it was now, but wanted to make on similar. I did have to mask the animals just enough to stamp the barn. The rest is just Copic colored... I was trying to channel my inner Sandy Allnock (she is much better at it the art of copic backgrounds). Trimmed the panel and adhered it to the card base. Stamped the sentiment and that finished it up.

Thanks for stopping by!
Monica

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn- Critters on the Farm, Hats off to You and Smitty's ABCs
MISC- Copics and cardstock

  3. I think your channeler is working great, Monica, and I love your background! Those stacked animals just karack me up. I saw it somewhere, too, but I can't remember who it was now. If it comes to me, I'll let you know! BTW, I think it is so neat that you craft over the phone with your mom!!

Okay, I just went and reread that first paragraph and started laughing because now I'm not sure if you meant you were "crafting with my mom" (over) the phone or you were crafting, while talking to your mom on the phone. Well, if it's the second one (it's my age you know), I still think it's cool!! Hugs, Darnell

  6. Your colouring is stunning and it seems that your inner Sandy Allnock was doing a very good job! ;o) I always have her in my head when it comes to shading... Usually I am too timid when using darker colours. Anyway - love your card! ;o)
