SID Dec

Hello all I'm here to share my card for Stick It Downs Dec card sketch! Here is the sketch that we worked with this month.
I made a wreath and kept it a winter theme. I used wreath die and decorated it with snowflakes in a few different colors to keep the blue and white color theme. For my background I added some distress oxide to an embossing folder and ran it through my machine, it's what got me to go with my winter wreath idea.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!

Hope to see you over at Stick It Down with your card based on the card sketch or one of our scrapbook layouts! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

SID Nov

Here is the November card sketch for Stick It Down, loved the splatter in background!

Here is my card on for this months sketch... I used the splatter and a little bit of pattern paper. I had thought about using some snowflakes hanging down, but changed my mind when I remembered I has some wooden trees! I haven't used them in a long time and figured it was time to pull something out of my stash! Added a little bit of bling to the card and called it done. I may have to do another card using the sketch.... I like the hanging hearts idea too.

Hope to see you over at Stick It Down with your card based on the card sketch or one of out scrapbook layouts! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

SID Oct- Wicked

Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to my card for Stick It Down October card sketch!

When I saw the sketch I had the perfect die in mind for a halloween card! When I headed to the craft room to start I couldn't find the die, after searching for a bit I moved on to stamp and die set that I hadn't used before. I was determined to keep with the halloween theme though! ;-)

Most of the card is die cuts with the haunted house being stamped then die cut and popped up with some foam adhesive. The background quickly became my favorite part of the card, I loved the way the distress oxide color combo (Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Black Soot) came together for a slightly spooky sky.

Hope to see you over at Stick It Down with your card based on the card sketch or one of out scrapbook layouts! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

MLC- OCT Noel Wreath

Welcome to Oct and my card for Merry Little Christmas Challenge blog! I kept things pretty simple this month and created a wreath using a branch from a Christmas set. It isn't a perfect circle because I had to stamp it multiple times... I tried! Once the wreath was stamped I used a light green copic to give the leaves a little color and added some small bling for the berries. I stamped Noel in the center and added a simple twine bow to finish it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see on the MLCC blog sharing what you make for Christmas this month! Have a great day!!!

SID Sept- Trick or Treat

Hello and welcome to my post for Stick it Down Sept challenge! Here is a look at the sketch...

I followed the sketch pretty closely, just added some extra bats for more fun! I used an older Stampin'up pattern paper for the background. The lacey looking bats are a current Stampin' up set called Hallows Night Magic, I just love how pretty they are with the lace look.

The large bat is stamped directly on the card panel, while the little one is stamped and die cut as are the black ones.

Hope you'll play along with our sketch this month you still have time to join us! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Hello (FMS451)

Hello! It's been a little bit since I've just played with a challenge other then my design teams! I was apparently double struck this weekend with some motivation and inspiration. First inspiration came from this weeks Freshly Made Sketchs sketch FMS451

And the other half of my inspiration came from a friends color challenge on facebook, the colors were Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss. Here is what I came up with...

MLC- Sept Santa

Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog

It's September already... halloween and Thanksgiving will be here be for we know it! How are you doing on your Christmas card stash... are you ready for Christmas already? I know I'm not there yet, but I'm getting closer!  Here is my card for the Merry Little Christmas Challenge blog for this month.

I find this card pre die cut in my stash and thought "How have I not used this already?" No time like the present right? It made for a quick card since the die cut takes up most of the card front. I just used a piece of red cardstock on behind the card front and added a tag with a stamped message. Super simple and probably one of my favorites this year!

Be sure to check out on the blog what the team has to inspire you this month!
Thanks for stopping and have an amazing month!!!

MLC AUG- Sweet Christmas

Welcome to August with Merry Little Christmas! Here is my card for this month using a Sketch from an online stamp night with my Stampin' Up Demonstrator. Loved using an older DSP to layer for a fun card. I added a Gingerbread house to the front for my main element and colored it to coordinate with the paper.

Added some stick on pearls and some glitter pen over some elements on the house to finish off the card.

I hope you visit all my teammates to see what they created this month and join us on the blog for the challenge, can't wait to see what you create!

July SID

Hello and welcome to my card for Stick It Down's June card sketch! I didn't stick with a total take of the sketch, but instantly thought about an embossing folder for the background!

With the embossed background I added some coffee rings for some color. Instead of using a sentiment strip I used a panel with a whole image that I colored with Copics. The lid and the sleeve of the cup are stamped, fussy cut and added on top for some fun dimension!

Jun SID- Life's a beach

Hello crafty friends, it's time to share my card for June's Stick It Down Sketch. Here is a look at the sketch incase you haven't seen it yet.
Here is my card, I stayed pretty true to the sketch this time around, just moved my sentiment to the bottom portion of my main image. I just recently acquired an Avery Elle set that has been on my wish list since it was released and wanted to use it for this months card. I searched through my stash for some pattern paper and found an older Lawn Fawn pack that would be perfect. I layered the paper according to the sketch and added my colored die cut beach houses with some foam adhesive.

Please don't forget to join us over at Stick It Down to play along. We also have two layout sketches if you want to play along with the scrapping teams! Can't wait to see what you create!

MLC- May

Welcome to May and our new month of  Merry Little Christmas challenge christmas blog. This month is as always anything goes!

This month I made for cards using the A and B sides of some pattern paper from the stash. I used the same layout for the card to pick and choose how the paper was going to be adhered down. The top of the card is actually folded back and stuck down with the pattern paper adhered on top. I then just added the sentiment on a die cut piece of white. They could be jazzed up a little more, but I choose to leave them clean and simple. This is a good way to use up some paper stash... if you are like me and have way more pattern paper then you need and keep buying more! ;-)

I hope you visit all my teammates to see what they created this month and join us on the blog for the challenge, can't wait to see what you create!

APR MLC

Hello and happy April! It's a new month again and the means time for a new challenge over at Merry Little Christmas challenge blog! The challenge is Anything goes as long as it's christmas. Here is my card for the month.

I used a mix of two Hero Arts sets for the card, one for the sentiment and the other for the ornaments. Once the sentiment was stamped I added the ornaments underneath and then drew the strings for them to hang from. Added a small strip of some stripe paper to finish the card.

Hope to see you over at the Merry Little Christmas blog this month. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Mar SID

Hello everyone and welcome to my March card for Stick It Down sketch challenge! Here is a look at the card sketch for this month.

Here is my card using the sketch, I stayed true to the sketch this time using some die cut stars as my design down the sides of my main image. The main panel is stamped using a Catherine Pooler designs image from the March Club Canvo stamp set. I used markers to color the images and the background around the balloons.

Mar MLC

It's the first of the month and time for a new challenge for us at Merry Little Christmas challenge blog! As always our challenge is Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas.

This month I went with a CAS look using some Stampin' Up stamps in my stash. I love the coffee cup... well frankly I just love coffee, so I'll use any excuse to use a coffee set!

Just stamped the card away, used some platter stamps for behind the coffee cup and added some little bling to call the card finished.

I hope you visit all my teammates to see what they created this month and join us on the blog for the challenge, can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Feb SID- Stand Tall

Welcome to my card for February's Stick It Down sketch. Here is a look at the sketch...

Here is my take on the sketch. I used pattern stamps to create the side strips. Using the same colors I stamped the flamingo scene on a die cut oval. Inked up the edges for a little more definition from the cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you make with our February sketch. Don't forget we also have two sketches for scrapbook layouts if you scrap too!

MLC #19

Here is my card for MLC February challenge! I found a sketch that I had saved on a pinterest board and decided to use that as my jumping point. I have accumulated a lot of product over the years, so I'm hoping to make a good dent in then unused and half used items in my stash. Do you have that problem? This card is start to using items that have be partially used and collecting dust. ;-)

Hope you join us this month, the challenge is as always anything goes as long as it's Christmas! See you over on the MLC blog! Here's to using up some stash! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!
