Today while I was skyping with a friend in NC I made a few cards... instead of just sitting one the computer chatting! Which is was usually happens (at least for me). She tends to get cards made everytime!
I made this card with a specific person in mind, since his birthday is right around the corner. Using a die that I picked up early last year, but have never actually used. I feel so bad when I do that, but usually get around to using it. ;-)
I got a new phone so I'm trying it's camera, it's already looking a little better than my old one. I generally get to lazy or in a hurry to get my real camera out for card photos. Anywho...
I taped off the top and bottom of the card so that I could color my "sky" with distress inks. Then I ran the die through my cuttlebug 3 times and glued the layers together for some dimension on the card. I love this look! I also did the same technique on another card that will be sharing in another post.
I will be adding this card to 2 challenges:

DeleteLove your fabulous super-hero card! Thank you so much for sharing with us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteWow! Way to multi-task while skyping! I don't have that kind of focus, so that was admirable! And the finished product was really stunning. I love the big bold colors and the comic book vibe you created. I also liked how your "Pow!" extended off the colored part and onto the white part of the card, which gave it some extra depth and dimension. This card made me happy, so thank you so much for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSuch a wonderful card. I love your blended sky and the contrast it makes with your skyline die. Those words are cool, too. This card feels so CAS because of all the white space that surrounds your focal point. Great job, and thanks for playing along at CASology this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
