Cup with flowers...

Hello friends! Moving day for my family and I is almost here, so my post is a short one. I can't wait to have all my supplies in my new crafty area!  My card today is for the Die Cut Diva's and we are using the following photo for inspiration and our sponsor is A Day for Daisies.

This time I decided to use buttons on my card.

I colored my image using colored pencils and some Gamsol to smooth the colors. I added some pattern paper and my colored panel to a cardbase that I embossed. Finished the card off by adding three buttons on one side.

Don't for get to drop by the Diva's blog to play along for your chance to win a $12 GC to the store which is equal to 3 digi images!!!

Mermaid card

Hello all, today's post for...

This month our challenge theme is to use you favorite technique. I went with two that I love which are copic coloring and ink blending.

I printed my image and colored it in with copics before fussy cutting the top part of my image. I then ran it through my cuttlebug with a die to get the stitching on the bottom. Using watercolor paper I used some distress inks to make the blue background, then die cut it with the same die cut. I added a peice of vellum, before adhereing it to the card base. For a little bling I put 3 starfish gems in the lower corner.

Don't forget to come to stop by Open Minded Crafting Fun blog and play along for your chance to win one of the wonderful prizes form our sponsors!

Tea cup flowers

Hello everyone! I'm posting a card for the Die Cut Divas. Our sponsor this month is A Day for Daisies and we are working with a photo inspiration.

I decided to use a few colors from the inspiration photo for my first challenge card.

I colored the image with copics before fussy cutting the image. I did have two images printed. I colored and fussy cut another flower and two leaves from it for layering. (seen below) I embossed the card base before adhering the images.

I think it turned out simple yet pretty and if I make a few more would make a cute note card set! Don't for get to drop by the Diva's blog to play along for your chance to win a $12 GC to the store which is equal to 3 digi images!!!

Birthday Ice Cream

Hello everyone! It's May and time for a new challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking! This month our theme is Clean and Simple.

With CAS in mind I picked 4 colors and one of the new layering sets. I started by stamping the solid stamps, then topped them off with a darker shade for the details. Added some chocolate drizzle and the sentiment for an older set. Trimmed down the panel before adhering to the cardbase.

Check the store for item from the new release. If you are in need of any items from the a2z Scrapbooking store you can use code Monica15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more.
