Pink butterfly

A quick thinking of you I made with a few challenges in mind.

and at
CASology

My clean and simple card...

A closeup of the butterfly so you can see the ombre and sparkle!

The card was finished pretty quickly. Starting with the background I used gray ink for a tone on tone background with a stencil. The panel was a scrap paper that I stamped with the butterfly and sentiment, then used a small circle punch to add the decorative corners. On another scrap I stamped and colored the butterfly again with some copics before fussy cutting it. It's glued to the panel by it's body while the wings are attached with foam squares for dimension. One the glue was dry I added clear Wink of Stella over the intire butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

April CCC

A little post this morning to share my card for the April CCC
I used the colors,
and the sketch just flipped it,

and friendship...

I used distress inks to watercolor the background. Stamped the images (Close to my Heart) and then embossed them with charcoal gray powder. The sentiment is stamped on velum and embossed with the same powder. I added a few sequins to finish it off.

I am also adding the card to the Curtain Call challenge blog.

Spring Flower

Hello again! I'm back with a card I made today using this die from Memory Box...

It was a free die with a December purchase from Simon Says stamp. I'm finally using it today but not to make peas in a pod. I thought it would make a pretty flower and I'm loving the turn out!

I ran the die through the cuttlebug 5 times for the petal and then added some ink tho them. Watercolored the background and began layering the petals on. I wanted dimension so that I could play along with the Lawnscaping challenge (Dimension) as well as both Simon Says challenges April showers/ Spring Flowers and In the middle and over at the Die Cut Divas for their In The Garden challenge.

Here is a closer look and the deminsion as well as the stickles I added for a little sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

ETA: I totally flaked my first attempt to link up to Die Cut Divas, so as of today 4/21/2015 you should be able to find my card there too! I can be such a goof...

Good times

I made 3 cards  and got a scrapbook page finished today, so I'm feeling pretty productive! This card I made with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

I was playing with some color options for another challenge when I made the background. Didn't like it for that one, but it worked for this card just fine! The watercolor background is Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick sprayed water and smooshed it on some Tim Holtz watercolor paper. I used the white embossing powder for the sentiment and brackets.

Thanks for stopping by!
