DCD- birthday girl and her dragon

My card today is a Birthday card for the April challenge at the Die Cut Diva's. Our sponsor this month is Fabrika Fantasy.

I colored my image with PrismaColor pencils and die cut it, before layering it with panels on the cardbase. I used some glitter pens and a white gel pen to add texture to the dragons skin in places. I finished the card off by adding the sentiment.

Here is a closer look at the texture, even though I didn't get a good shot of the sparkle.

You still have a few days to join our Birthday challenge for your chance to win, so be sure to stop by and link up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

A2Z- Congratulations

Hello and happy April Fool's Day! Not only is today the first of the month, it's my son's birthday. My mom thought I maybe I had been joking when I called to tell her he was on his way. Had I thought about it, I would have told her we were surprised with twins.... But I wasn't much in the joking mood. ;-) Can't believe he's going to be 16!!! Where did the time go...

Over at A2Z our theme is about getting to know you- Use your favorite Hero Art items. I chose to use my favorite two embossing powders ( I couldn't chose 1) and since we have a lot of pregnant ladies at church this year, I did  a baby themed card.

I first stamped and heat embossed my sentiment on some watercolor cardstock. Then I followed the same step for the baby feet up the side of the panel. Once the heat embossing was done I watercolored the panel and ran a cardstock panel through my Big Kick with an embossing folder, while it dried.

I adhered the layers on the cardbase with the top layer being adhered with foam tape.

Taco Truck Thanks

I just wanted to pop up with a card that I made for the CAS-ual Fridays no dies allowed challenge. I'm trying to make more of an effort to play with more challenges.

I stamped my images (the truck and tacos) and did some simple coloring with my copics. Stamped the sentiment, then added some Nuvo Drop on the windows and hubcaps.

I then stamped the inside of my card with some more tacos and another sentiment. (I love the fun sentiment!) Made for quick card with no die cutting and some simple coloring.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Peace and Joy

Hello everyone, I'm stopping by today with a card for the Die Cut Diva's blog. Our theme this month is to use red or pink. I made a Christmas card this time around, I'm planning on making a few each month to get ahead of the game this year.

I started by inking up my background, then placed a mask over it and used a baby wipe to "erase" some of the color. I stamped the house image on a white peice of cardstock and my sentiment on some vellum. I then heat embossed the sentiment before die cutting the panels. To finish I adhered all the layers using foam under the cardstock panel.

Here is a closer look at the detials...

DCD- Love You

Hello everyone! I'm popping up today to share my first card for the DCD challenge this month. Our theme for February is to use red or pink. For my first card I used an ombre effect from one color to the other.

I used distress ink to color the background after heat embossing it. I die cut the heart from my panel and also from a scrap piece of cardstock, then stamped the image and heat embossed it. Before placing my panel on the card I added some twine and a bow.

Don't forget to head over to the Diva's blog and join our challenge.

DCD- Rainbow Unicorn

Here is my last card for the no sentiment challenge over at the Die Cut Diva's. Check out the post here to see the others cards for this month.

I colored the image with colored pencils and then fussy cut it. I distressed the background slightly for the sky and die cut the clouds. For the rainbow I used some circle dies and then colored them with copics. Once everything was adhered to the card I added some wink of stella to the clouds and rainbow, as well as stickles to the stars. Love the sparkle!

DCD- Christmas Kiss

Hello all and happy Monday! Today I'm posting my first card for the January challenge over at the Die Cut Diva's. This month our challenge NO SENTIMENT!
Our wonderful sponser this month is Sasayaki Glitter

Sponsorship Badge

I know Christmas is over, but it's never to early to start on the cards I need to send out! Besides how could I not use this image. I think this will be a great card for my hubby! ;-)

I started my card by printing and coloring the image. I wanted to keep it pretty simple so I only colored the hat and lights.  Picked some pattern paper to math the copics I used and created a panel. I ran my bottom panel through my Big Kick with an embossing folder. Once everything was adhered I colored over the hat, lights and the girls dress with a Wink of Stella for some sparkle. (Which hopefully you can see a little better in close up below)

Thanks for stopping by and we can't wait to see what you have to share with us!
