Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! I'm posting a card that I made following the Colour Me card challenge blog. This is my first time playing along since I just stumbled across the blog, but I love a good color combo to play with!

Here is the card I came up with after seeing the (team Hayley) inspiration colors!

I watercolored the navy on the panel. While it dried I die cut and watercolored the feathers with a coral. Once everything was dry I added the feathers to the panel and the stamped the sentiment. After adhereing the panel to the navy cardbase, I finished off by adding some sequins and a twin bow.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

second a2z post

I'm back with a CAS card for a2z Scrapbooking and you still have a few days to join us!

The sentiment was cut out to look like a little poster for the crab to hold.  After I colored in the crab I took a craft knife to carefully cut around parts of his claws to slip the sign in. I added a little shading to the sign to give it a little more dimension. For the sand I cut a arch from the panel to add some kraft colored cardstock underneath for the sand. The card was done in a pinch! ;-)

I hope you will get a chance to join our Challenge this month.  Remember: (Hero Arts Products Required)  This challenge runs though the end the month.   You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.

Gingerbread house mouse

Today I'm sharing a card that I thought I would link to the House of Cards challenge. This is my first time playing with them and I thought this card would work for the Food/color theme.
I'm also adding this to House- Mouse and Friends (CODE HMFMC199) blog for the anything goes challenge... first time to play there too. ;-)

I stamped and colored my images. I gave the icing dimension by putting some liquid applique on and drying it with my heat gun. The peppermint candies have glossy accents, the gumdrops have stickles and the jellybeans have a little wink of stella on them.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!

Thank you banner

Here is a one layer thank you card I made, actually I made two for some Avon customers. They were done really quick making them great CAS cards. I will link this to A Blog Named Hero challenge.

I stamped the sentiment twice, once on the base and once on a scrap paper to mask the banner while I stamped the leaves and flowers. I added a little sparkle (which I couldn't get a good pic of) to the centers of the flowers. I also stamped some inside to carry the design.

Here's a look at the inside...

You still have time to join the challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking. It's a CAS challenge using Hero Arts product and you have a chance to win a $25 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking store.

Life's a picnic...

Today's card is part of the DieCut Divas blog. Our sponsor this month is DiesRUs and the theme is summer and/ or patriotism.
They have a variety of dies and some stamps too! Not to mention they offer great shipping rates with the orders. Check them out and don't forget to play along for a chance to win!

Today's summer theme is a picnic, my middle son loves to have picnics. We don't have a spread like this when we have them, but it sure would be yummy!

Using some green cardstock I used the hillside die three times and distressed the edges with ink. I then added them to the card base. I die cute the scallop piece and stamped the gingham on top. Stamped and colored the food before die cutting them out too. I added the trail of ants in the background and one on the blanket. Then I started adhering the the elements on the card base.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Shadowbox Card

Hello blogland! I'm posting the card I made for the challenge I have with my friends and mom. This time around the challenge was to make a shadowbox card. I saw a YouTuber make one and thought it would be fun for us to try! Here is what I came up with...

Here is a look from an angle. The middle flamingo is on a wobbler spring so he'll shake a bit too.

The card is 5 1/2x 4 1/4 so it will lay flat in an envelope for mailing although I'm thinking of just giving it my mother in law to set in her office. Here is the link to the video that has the info to make one. I won't leave the how to, it's was pretty simple and a lot of fun to make.

I will enter this into Simon Says Stamp Monday (Anything goes) and Wednesday (Get in Shape) challenges. Not 100% sure this counts a shape card, but thought I'd give it try since it's not a normal card when you stand it up. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Just a quick post to share the card I made for the Muse: Christmas Visions challenge. Almost didn't get it done in time!!!

Here is the muse..

Baby Shower

A quick post to share a card I made for a friends baby shower later today. I was busy yesterday making other things for the baby shower (maybe I'll get pictures of them posted too). Here is the card, which I'll link up too Lawnscaping challenge.

I stamped the images on the white panel and colored them in with copics. Added a blue and white polka dot panel to the white before adhering both to the card base. Once that was done I added some wink of stella and glossy accents.

Here is a closer look at the sparkle and shine...

Happy Birthday (My 1st a2z Scrapbooking post)

Hello everyone, Monica here with my first post with the a2z Scrapbooking! I can't wait share some projects with you or see what you will share with out challenge. Right now our challenge is CAS, which is one I lean to more often that not.

For my first a2zScrapbooking post I thought I'd do a birthday card. I kept it pretty simple with stamping the same image multiple times just in different inks. The darkest image was cut out and popped up for a little dimension. I added just a bit of color in the main sentiment and added the panel to an aqua cardstock base.

The card would be easy to recreate if I need a birthday card pretty quick and you can easily change it up by using other colors to make it more feminine or masculine.

I hope you will get a chance to join our Challenge this month?  Remember: (Hero Arts Products Required)  This challenge runs though the end the month.   You have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store.

Let's Chill

Today's quick post is a card I made and will link up to the CASology and the Lawnscaping challenges.

I decided to use the fun drinks from Hero Arts, stamp them multiple times across my panel and color them in with copics.

I added some washi on the card before attaching the panel and stamped the sentiment. Once everything was on the card I added clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the drinks. As a last minute addition I decided to add a little bling to the fruit centers in coordinating colors.

Here is closer look and the sparkle and shine! I love the Wink of Stella for a fast drying hint of shimmer.

If you would like to make a similar card and don't have this set you can jump on over to a2z scrapbooking to purchase the digi kit here!  If you see something you like use code Monica15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more. With Sympathy

A little post before I head to bed (I have a 5 am shift in the morning). I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and really wanted to play along.
My goal was to use multiple patterned papers, since I have more than I need and don't use them often enough. This card is going to a co-worker who lost her grandmother last week.

I cut the pattern paper to fit the sketch and stamped the sentiment on the larger panel. I added the flowers around the sentiment and put some stickles in the centers. To be honest the flower in the center was the product of a block drop (oppsy daisy), but I decided to just go with it. (Instead of scrapping it)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Beach scene

Hello and happy first day of July everyone! I can't believe it's July already. That means that there is a new challenge over at the Die Cut Diva's blog. This months theme is all about summer and patriotism! So many possible ideas for summer... picnics, swimming, vacations etc... Stop by the Die Cut Divas blog and play along for a chance to win.

Our sponsor this month is Dies R Us. You should head over and check out their online store. They have a
lot of brand options to chose from and the shipping rates are good for both USA and international customers!

My first card for the month is a beach theme. It was one of the first things that popped in my head when I heard the word summer.

For my card I did a center stair step card to set my scene. I cut my patterned paper to size, die cut my sand and adhered it all to the card. I then stamped, colored and die cut my images. Using some more pattern paper and a piece of vellum I punched the waves. After I got all my pieces attached, I stamped some birds and the sentiment.

It's still setting in my craft area at the moment as decor!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!
