So thankful for you!

I'm here with my last Die Cut Diva post for September. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors
We had sketch challenge this month and I choose the following sketch for today's card.
Here is my card...

I adore this turtle from Bugaboo, he's are so stinkin' cute! I printed the turtle on cardstock and colored him with copics. I trimmed all the panels to size and adhered them together on the card base. I die cut the little leaves from the cardstock and distressed them before adding them to the card. Added the sentiment last since I wasn't sure where it was going. Not a hundred percent on it's final placement, but I think'll work.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great!!!

House Mouse Thanks (HMFMC #204)

Hello all! I'm stopping in with a card for the HMFMC #204. The theme this time is fall/Halloween. I hope you head over to the House Mouse & Friends blog to see all the wonderful cards from the design team. Don't forget to play along for a chance to win some prizes!

I couldn't help but use this image, the mouse floating with the leaf is too cute!!! I wanted the leaf to be vibrant with fall colors, I love the way it turned out!

I stamped the image and colored it with copics. Cut out the leafy square and matted the image panel on top. Added an oval die cut with the sentiment and a few enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!!!

Happy Birthday

Today's card is a quick one that I made for my hubs birthday! I love the Layering trees set from Hero Arts, I can see myself using it many times through out the year!

For the card I used some tape to mask off the square before adding color using distress inks. Once the inking was done I stamped the tree, leaves and sentiment letting each hang off the edges. Keeping it simple makes for a nice masculine card.

Today I decided to represent One Happy Cut.. Our other sponsor is Bugabooand you see can see my first card here that show cased both sponsors.

My card...

I started my card by die cutting the jack-o-lantern face twice, then inlaid the yellow bits into the orange pumpkin. Stamped the sentiment and added some clear wink of stella to the yellow pieces. I adhered my layers onto the embossed base. To finish the card I added some washi to the opposite corners and added a bow to follow the sketch.

Here is a closer look at the little details...

#STAMPtember, Be Merry

Hello all! I'm stopping to share a card I made using a STAMPtember item from Simon Says Stamp and Clearly Besotted. This my first set from Clearly Besotted and I was so excited to get it! There are so many wonderful companies out there it's hard to pick which set to get sometimes. I'm giving you a glimpse at the collaboration set for STAMPtember.

I used silver embossing on the card and added a few rhinestones to the stamped snow flakes.
Here is a closer look, so you can see the silver bells...

I am adding this to the Merry Monday Christmas challenge this week.

Going to work on packing stuff up for a night of camping, hoping there aren't anymore storms tonight.

Fall,Family. Blessed...

Hello everyone! Today I'm stopping by with a fall card I made with The AAA card challenge mind. The AAA card challenge  I love the little image they included, I want to sit on one of those benches snuggled in a sweater and drinking a coffee. Who's with me?

Here is the card I made...

The image was inked with tape over the colored letters, since I wanted them different colors. Once I stamped in brown I carefully inked the other words in the colors and stamped the image again. I die cut the leaves and colored them with distress inks.

I added some stickles to the letters for a little more texture and fun on the panel.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Entwined- HMFMC guest spot post

Hi all, I'm here today with my first card as a guest designer for the HMFMC blog. I'm super excited to be a guest designer for September and October. Head on over to the blog if to get all the details and play along with the fun challenge!

Here is the challenge inspiration...

For my card I decided to follow along the bottom row...

I used the sweet mousey image with the entwined tells. I stamped the image and then die cut it before coloring with copics. I then took some black cardstock and die cut it with a larger oval, next I ran it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I added some twine to two panels and then decided I liked the look of the embossed oval tucked under the twine as well. I added the layers to the card base and used some dimensional to adhere the colored panel on top.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

I'm also entering this into the NBUS challenge. This was the first time I'd used the stamp, oval dies and twine.

Happy Anniversary

I'm stopping in today with a card for the a2z Scrapbooking blog. Today's card was made for my Aunt and Uncle for their anniversary. I used the colors of their wedding as my inspiration.

I started off by masking off the part of the card that I wanted to stamp. Started stamping the flowers and leaves on the bottom portion of the card panel. Once I was done with that I used a ruler and my versa marker to make line above the stamping, stamped the bow from the set and then the sentiment. Sprinkled some silver embossing powder over the versa mark areas and heat embossed it. Once everything was set I added the panel onto a card base and added some sequins to finish the card.

Here is little look at the silver embossing

U R Cool

This month at Die Cut Divas is a sketch challenge. Hope you join us, our sponsors are
There are two sketches to try I chose the one below for my card today ans am showcasing both sponsors.
Here is my take on the sketch.

I colored my Bugaboo image with copics and cut it down to size. Adhered it to a black piece of cardstock. Before putting  the cardstock panel onto my pattern paper I punched holes in it for the apple brads. Once all the layers were glued to the base I die cut my sentiment and added it to the card.
I'm hoping one of my three boys will enjoy working the word puzzle!

Thanks for stopping by and have great day!!!

The reason I smile..

I made a few cards today since things are a little quiet in the house. My hubby and the two youngest are out camping with the boy scouts for the weekend. Today's card was made with the Colour Me...challenge in mind.

Sticking to the monochromatic colors, here is my card...

I used a Hero Arts background stamp and swiped my ink pad across the stamp to cover it with ink. I used an ombre' ink pad and kept the lighter color toward the center when inking. I stamped the image and sentiment on cardstock before cutting it down to size, then using the ink I colored in the leaves. I cut a panel of vellum and adhered it to my cardstock panel. before attaching both panels to the card base I added 3 brads under the sentiment.

I'm also adding this to Virginia's View  Challenge
Since it's fitting with it's background pattern!

Aug CCC

I'm here today to share my card for the Aug CCC. I can't believe it is the first of September already, but I do love September! It's my birthday month and my hubby's too!!! :-)
For this months card I used the color combo

and the sketch

My card...

I used some copy paper as my mask to add the "rays" of color. For the gray piece I used some ink to color a scrap of paper. Once it was covered I used some perfect to make it look metallic and ran it throw with an embossing folder. Die cut the hello and then adhered all the parts together.

This little picture is the ATC I made to go with the card. I decided I would make these to add to the cards. I'd never made one before and thought they looked like fun to do.
