A little adventure...(scrapbook layout)

Just a quick post to share a scrapbooking layout I did today. I was inspired by this CSI challenge
and this sketch from last month on Stuck?! Sketches. I didn't get a chance to play along with it during Feb, but still wanted to use it. It's one that I can easily use over and over.

I was inspired by the image to scrap some photos of a little camping trip we took. I wasn't the happiest about going, I hadn't camped in many years and told my husband I want to Glamp! ;-) He just rolled his eyes...

It ended up storming the night we were there, which didn't seem to bother the kids, but I din't sleep well. The morning sky was pretty to see the next morning, you can kind of see it in the picture.

In the close ups you can see the wood grain detail on the cardstock I used. I used some plaid and added some interest with stamps on the borders.

It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I added a tree punched strip in plaid just above the pattern paper. I hadn't used the punch in a long time and thought it would be a good time to use it. I love it when I remember to use older items in my stash!

ATSM #284- CAS

It's time for a new challenge over at ATSM, this week we are doing Clean and simple. I decided to make three mini CAS cards. These will be good to have around for a quick card to add to a gift bag or to give as a thank you. I'm a boy mom and funny enough don't really ever have anything by ready! I don't seem to send out a lot of masculine cards, but never have any ready when I need them.

My cards measure 3x3 and were very quick to make. I stamped the three images each in a different color then used the same sentiment with gray ink. I know there isn't a lot to them, but love how they turned out all the same!

Don't to stop by the blog and play with this weeks CAS challenge, I can't wait to see what you share with us. Thanks as always for stopping by! Feel free to leave a comment and follow the blog for updates with new posts!

St. Patty day Birthday card

I'm back with my second card for today that I will be entering into a few challenges! They will be listed below. It's another St. Pat's theme, but for a birthday this time. I plan to send this to a friend from HS, she and my youngest share a St. Pat's day birthday!

I used a stamp I found while going through my stash and used to create the background. I used a $1 Cupcake stamp (from Michaels) and a sentiment for Hats off to You for my panel. Once it was colored with my Copics I die cut the panel with the Stitched banner die and popped it up with foam tape, then finished it off with some twine.

Linking up too the following challenges...

Lucky to have.

I've got a quick card to share that I will be linking up to a few challenges, they will be listed down below. It's a very clean and simple card that would be easy to remake.

I stamped the sentiment in my go to hybrid ink by MFT and the clovers in Distress inks Old Paper for a tone on tone look. Then I used my Prisma colored pencils to color the clovers green.

Linking up with the following challenges...
