DCD- hello, summer...

Here is my last card for our Summer theme challenge over at DieCut Diva's. We are thankful for our wonderful sponsor Bugaboo stamps!

I colored the image with copics and used a die to cut the panel on one side. I trimmed the panel down so that it would "centered" on three sides. Wrote my sentiment and wrapped twine around the panel, before adhering it to some kids foam. I wanted it to pop off the cardbase a little.

Thanks as always for stopping by and have a great day!

DCD- Hello Chick

Today's post is a post for the Die Cut Diva's challenge blog where we have a summer theme currently! I can't believe today is the first official day of summer! I thought the Fired Chicken image from Bugaboo was perfect!

I used markers to color in the image. I die cut the panel before adhering it to the base. I think die cut my sentiment, then colored it black with a black glitter marker. To finish off the card I added some clear glitter to the sun glasses for more sparkle and some Nuvo dots on the chair.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have great day!

Little B- sentiment die

Love this moment

I've been spending a little more time in my craft room working on some projects other than cards. I do enjoy making them, but it's nice to start playing catch up on my scrapbooking (which is way behind)! I think I owe some of the new found inspiration to Counterfeit Kit Challenge

I will be linking this page to challenge as it's the third page I've made using my kit. I don't show everything I pulled for the kit, I didn't have a whole lot of room, but my papers are the core of my kit. They are what I will be trying to base my pages off of.

The layout is about my son and how he wanted to take his tiger (he got it from the Childrens hospital) for show-n-tell. I was the mean mom and said no. He would have been heart broken if something happened to it. We comprimised on a mini photo shoot so that he could show the pictures of his special tiger.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it so much! Have a blessed day!

Planner Dashboard

Hello! Today's post is a planner related post. I made this dashboard for my mom to use in the planner I'm giving her. It's a delayed Mother's day gift. She showed a little interest in my planner (I use a Happy Planner) and wondered how she could use it. She generally uses digital calendars. I mentioned how it could be a great meal planner to help with her Trim Healthy Mama meals, so that is what I believe she is going to try and use it for. Before I give it to her, I wanted her to have a dashboard to hold post its for quick notes.

I made mine (blue/gray) a plan with Michaels event and loved it! So I grabbed some cardstock I thought she would like and got started on one for her.

I start of with three sheets of 12x12 (1 pattern, 1 color  and 1 acetate) cut down to 6 x 9 1/4 and then punch the edges for the planner. Keep the access paper for decorating later. Then I glue the pattern and color cardstock together. I also adhere the acetate to the cardstock at both the top and bottom of the page. ( I used an adhesive runner)

Next is the piece for the pocket which 6x 4 1/2. I cut it at an angle so the smaller side is about 2 1/2 inches and then punch the longer edge. I then adhere it to the back side of the dashboard. Be sure to glue only the bottom and side edges to create the pocket.

Once the pocket is adhered, I made banners out of the scrap pieces and added them to the pocket. Then used some washi to to top it off.

Last but not least the front! I used my washi tape again, this time on the top and bottom to help cover any adhesive you might see through the acetate. Punched circles out of the scrap to make a tab for the page and used another piece of scrap to decorate the bottom corner. To finish off the page I added some little post its that coordinated (luckily) with the papers I chose.

I think it turned out so pretty and may make another! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Super

I'm here with my second post today, I'm getting a few crafty things done and playing along with challenges. (Which I haven't been do much of lately) What else is a girl to do when she is practically confined to the craft room... I mean it is currently the most comfortable room in the house.

I'm sharing a post I made for the CSI challenge. It is very super hero related and with three boys in the house it's a prefect theme for me. ;-) I love how they set the theme up in case files and the options they give to use on a layout.

Besides using the sketch and colors, I have four evidence and 2 testimony options on my page.

Evidence: Speech bubbles, starts, stripes and twine
Testimony: Super (inspration word) and Speech bubble journaling

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

My heart is full layout

Since parts of our house are currently under construction, I'm trying to make good use of my time hanging out in my craft room. I'm also trying to work on getting more scrapbook layouts done and with challenge inspirations! I have primarily used my blog for my cards, but it does say craft corner in the name... So why not show more of what I make!

I am sharing a layout that I created using my first ever Counterfeit Kit. They use a subscription kit as inspiration to create your own using your stash! I love the idea and thought it would be great to try. This month they are using the May 2017 Kit from Felicity Jane and here is what I came up with...

I used this layout form Let's Get Sketchy to put my page together.

Here is the first page from my newly created kit...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!
