DCD- little fox

Today's card is my last card for our masculine challenge over at the Die Cut Diva's. Our wonderful sponsor for September is Dies R Us.

I couldn't wait to use this cute fox from Waffle Flower, I immediately visioned him playing with the pumpkin on his back. After stamping him I added some shadow with copics before die cutting the image and layering with pattern paper. I popped the die cut frame up with foam tape and added the panel to the card base.

Day 1 of Jr. High

I finally got time to sit down and make layout using my kit inspired from this months Counterfeit Kit. This may be the only one I get done... before the challenge ends at least. I also use this sketch for Stuck?! Sketches...

You can see my kit here. The lighting wasn't great so my paper looks a little pinker than it really is. I didn't want to add to many embellishments on my boys page, maybe I'll get over that and add what ever I want... Until then the embellies are a little light on the page. ;-)

Birthday Drink

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my Father in Law. I used the Fusion Card Challenge for inspiration, I like the sketch and the colors were looking like the picture until added the pattern paper.
My image is from a retired set by Avery Elle. I wanted to tie the card to the gift. My FIL likes non alcoholic beer so we got some new ones for him to try.

I stamped the outline in black and the "beer" in Fossilized Amber distress ink. Then I die cut it with the double stitched rectangles from MFT stamps. I layered my pattern strips and image layer on gray cardstock. I measured the where the layers would be and stamped my sentiment so that it would be in between the layers. Then added all of my layers to my cardbase.

Coffee Love tags

Just wanted to pop in and share some coffee themed tags I made for an event I'm attending this weekend! I can't wait for It's Planner Time.

I used distress ink to make a watercolor background to die cut the hearts out of. Die cut some coffee cups to make the tags with and stamped some coffee beans on the bottom. Once the hearts were adhered on the cups I added some twine to finish them. I love the way they turned out!!!

I will link this too Lawn Fawnatics blog!

DCD- Camper

Popping in with a post for the Die Cut Diva's and our Masculine Challenge.I mad this card for both of my parents as a thank you. They hosted some of our cub scouts for a camp out and we were able to watch the meteor shower, back in Aug. We've dub their property Camp Caldwell, it was a great weekend!

I used a die cut rectangle as my panel and added some distress inks to the background for my ground and sky. I stamped and die cut both the bear and lantern from kraft cardstock, then used copics to color them. The bears shirt and tent were stamped on a pattern paper and fussy cut. I stamped the tent directly on my background and then adhered the plaid tent directly on top.

I added my panel to the card base and used pop dots to adhere the lantern and bear. Once they were in place I decided to hand draw a little sign for Camp Caldwell. Mom and dad seemed to both like the card. Hope you all will too.

Halloween FMS #304

My second post for today... I'm on a crafty roll this morning! I think I'll break for lunch and maybe some chores after this. ;-) I made a halloween card with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch.

I wanted to play with some of my pattern papers from an old Recollections Halloween paper pack called Haunted Manor. I didn't add a sentiment since my pattern paper has so many words already on it.

I will link this card up to the following challenges:

Photo Fun

I'm here today with a layout I did this morning using the Stuck?! Sketches first sketch for September.

My layout is 8x8 to fit in a hanging display I got from Michael's a few years ago. It's a perfect size layout for the photo booth pictures my boys and I do in the summer (especially with the new way the pictures print), this is a tradition we started the summer after my youngest was born. He was 4 months old in the first one and this one is from 2 summers ago. I'm getting caught up!

I used some scraps of paper to create the back drop, I figured this was a perfect sketch to use them for. Since my strips were bright and colorful, I felt my picture go a little lost, so I layered it with two pieces of vellum. Since this is a smaller layout and the paper was so colorful I didn't want to over crowd the layout with a lot of embellisments.

I thought the gray cardstock background looked a little plain, so I added a little interest to it. I stamped some splatter for a tone on tone look, but didn't think that was enough and added some black Heidi Swapp shine spray. Once the spray was dry I stamped the date in gray and added a little journaling in silver.

There is a little more journaling on the tag behind the picture mat. Used two different letter stickers to make my title.

DCD- Ship in a bottle

Today's card is my first card for the Die Cut Diva's September challenge. Our theme this month is masculine and our wonderful sponsor is Dies R Us. My card is going to be used as a birthday card, both my hubby and father in law have birthdays this month. I now need to work on card number 2!

I started my card by stamping the jar and the images inside. Before I die cut the jar I colored my little jar scene using Copic markers. I used a sketch to put my card together and picked some nautical themed papers I had in my stash to put the card together.

CKC- Sept Kit

Dropping in with a peek at the kit I put together inspired by the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

I looked through my stash to find the papers I wanted to use to make my kit. The yellows and blues stuck out to me in the inspiration kit. I also pulled some similar patterns strips, polka dots, woodgrain and the the feathers looked like the tree pattern in the top left.

I had some alpha that are lined in gold and out them with the kit. Put in some washi tapes, three to be exact since I couldn't pick one! Not sure what pictures I was planning on using, I couldn't pick what embellishments to add so I've left them out for now. Sometimes, less is more! ;-)

Hello Fall

I'm stopping by with a card I made with my new Waffle Flower stamp set. I used the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch for my design.I used an ink squishing technique, using a stamp block for my background on watercolor paper.

I added my image and sentiment using my misti since the watercolor paper is textured, I wanted the image and sentiment to be as full as possible. Layered the watercolor piece on my cardbase.

I love the look using the block for the watercolored background, I think I will use it again. I am linking this card to the following challenges:

A2Z- CASE a designer

I'm here today to share my first card for the September challenge over at A2Z Scrapbooking! This months theme is CAS a desinger. For today's card I chose this card some Erica. How cute are the little kitties peaking out on the card?!

FullSizeRender 5

I used a Christmas set to CAS her card and I like the way it turned out! Thanks for the inspiration Erica!

I used a new Hero Arts set. The little images were stamped randomly to make a pattern then colored with copics. The sleigh was stamped, colored and die cut, while the sentiment was just stamped and trimmed down. I used another die to create a window in the hand stamped pattern paper. A strip of gray pattern paper was adhered to the card base before I added the window panel on top with foam tape. I decided to adhere both the sign and sleigh flat on the card.

To finish the card I added some shimmer to the sleigh and ornament. It's not a proper Christmas card with a little dazzle! ;-)
