ATSM- #280 Photo

Today is the start of a new challenge over at ATSM blog and it's a photo inspiration.

I just loved all the butterflies and springy colors. So that is what I chose to use for inspiration on my card this week. I used distress inks to blend the colors on a scrap piece of square card stock, that I adhered onto my cardbase. The butterfly was die cut twice and glued together at the body. I fully adhered the bottom butterfly to my inked panel and curled the top butterfly slightly, so the wings pop up a little.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment below the panel and added some chunky glitter above and below the butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to comment (love reading them)or to follow me (to stay updated with new post).  Have a great day!!!

Thrilled for you

I had some time to sit around and play for a bit this morning, I decided to work on a card inspired some MFT challenges. Luckily got them done in time to link them up too! Usually I end up being a little to late to link up by the time I get a card done. I need to work on my timing! ;-)

I used the color combo ( Pinks are not a go to color for me but loved them with the gray and black)

and the sketch from the MFT challenges.

I used an older stamp set to stamp some leaves across the front of my card in black ink. Then colored them in using some copics to coordinate with the colors. I stamped the sentiment and used a banner from a blue prints die set to cut it down.

I finished the card by popping the sentiment strip on with some foam tape and added some irredescent glitter for some sparkle.

No automatic alt text available.
I used je t'aime which is French for I love you and picture of me and my husband at a friends wedding.

A few close ups at the details and embellishments...

Dream Big

Today over at the Joy Clair blog we are having a special post in honor of Mardi Gras. Below is the photo inspiration we used to make our projects.

No automatic alt text available.

For my card I used an older set from Joy Clair called Dream Big and I was inspired by the colors. I also thought the beads and feathers were a nice fit for the theme.

I stamped the dream catcher, feather and some beads with black ink. I then drew on the strings with a pen before adding the other beads using distress inks. I added some Wink of Stella to the feathers and the dream catcher.

To finish the card I added some stripped washi to the side of the cardbase and stamped my sentiment. Then adhered the panel to the cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

ATSM- #278 holiday

Today I'm sharing three mini cards I  made for my boys for Valentine's Day. I thought the little critters from Joy Clairs new Best Buds set would be perfect for my boys!

Image may contain: text

Aren't these little critters the cutest?! I selected the bunnies, hamsters and turtles to make my three cards. I stamped colored the critters on some card stock with copics.

Stamped my larger sentiments in red ink and the smaller in black, so that they are slightly overlapping.

Than layered all of my pattern paper and image panels on to mini card bases. To finish of the critters I added some black gel pen on the eyes so they stood out a little better.

Head over to the ATSM blog to see other inpiration for the Holiday challenge and play along! Feel free to head over to the Joy Clair store (affiliate link) to see what other stamps they have. They have tons of cute ones and you get a digi cut file with purchase!

You & Me w/ Joy Clair

I'm here with my second post of the day to share my card for the Feb challenge over at Joy Clair blog.  We are drawing our inspiration for the picture below for the month of love, or as always with a Joy Clair challenge you may chose to do Anything Goes.
(If you are here to see the post for Counterfeit Kit click here.)

No automatic alt text available.

I was inspired by the heart cut out of the wood and the love banner. So I started with running some kraft cardstock through my Big Kick with a wood grain back ground die first, then ran it through a second time with a heart die for my cut out. I used one of the strips from Valentine Background builder for a sentiment on the wood grain panel by heat embossing it.

I used some scrap paper from another project for the background of my heart and stamped part of another strip from the same background stamp to peek through the die cut. I glued the scrap piece to the cardbase and used foam adhesive to adhere the woodgrain panel to the card.

Join us this month for the challenge and to continue seeing inspiration with the newest release!

Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Today I'm posting as the February guest designer over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. This months inspiration kit is the Weekend in Paris kit by Noel Mignon.

Inspiration photos...

Weekend In Paris Daily Diary Kit (2 in stock)

Here is a look at my kit. Some of the things that caught my eye where the colors, doilies, lace ribbon,  that hot air balloon paper and the black and white striped bows. I used a black and white striped washi instead of bows, its just laying flat in my photo so you can't see it very well.

Here is a look at my papers for the kit, since you can't see them very well under my embellishments.

I hope you join this month and make your own Weekend in Paris kit. Before to continue on the hop to see the rest of the inspired kits from the team and come back to see me on the 12th to see a layout.
