Easter Theme challenge

Well our friendly little challenge this time was to make an Easter theme card. I got to it right away and finished the card the same day it was decided.

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn- stamps and pattern paper
 Ink- momento tuxedo black
Glitter- Distress glitter in Mowed Lawn
 EK Success grass border punch
 various copics and adhesive.

There is a chance I'll add some Easter cards on here since I will be making more than just one! I'm hoping to get in gear participate in some other online challenges too. I follow a few of them but haven't really participated yet. Hopefully I will start and that should help remind me to do more blog posts! ;)

Oh and since my eldest turns 13 tomorrow, I thought I'd post the card I made for him. I was using a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as inspiration. I missed the deadline to post it for the challenge, but still used it for his card. He is also a huge fan of the game minecraft so I tried to use that as inspiration too.

I'm a little behind on updating the blog post once again! Opps, but then things have been a little busy around here with my youngest turning 5, then the boys all sharing their germs (sad face) and finally spring break.

The next challenge in my friendly little group started today and it is to make an Easter theme card. The last challenge was decided on PI day (3/14) so we all were to do a pi/pie card. Here is what I came up with...

I made the invites for 5 year olds birthday....

His birthday card...

A birthday card for my Great Grandma...

And last but not least my mom's birthday card. (She already has it so it's safe to post)

I've already finished my card for our current challenge, but since I've decided to add all these cards to this post I'll wait to add the Easter theme. Besides maybe I'll make a few more Easter cards to add to the next post! Trying to make this a quick post so if you have any questions about products used let me know.

Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge #31

For the most recent friendly challenge we were to make a card containing 4 squares and at least 1 butterfly. I had many ideas going through my head, most of which including a butterfly on or die cut from each of the four squares. I though that that maybe the idea of the majority of us so I decided to keep thinking. As I was going through my stamps looking for butterflies I came a across a Hero Arts background stamp with butterflies on it and decided it was perfect! I love this back ground image it's so pretty!!! I thought I'd try the "spotlight technique" that I've seen a few ladies on YouTube do, but turned the circles into squares. Here is what I came up with...

Supplies:
Ink: Gray flannel (CTMH), Squeezed Lemonade and Lipstick (Ranger) and Black (Momento)
Stamp: Antique Writing ( Hero Arts)
Cardstock: White/ Cotton Candy (CTMH) and Gray (recollections)
Embellishments: Stickles and enamel dots
