Hello Sunshine!

The boys stayed the night with the grandparents last night. Generally if we have a free night we roam the town, but with it being a work weekend for me it was nice just to have a quiet night at home. Usually on my work weekends ( which in the retail world is every other) I'm to beat to do any crafting at the end of the day. Last night felt the pretty much the same but I started to work on a card for the Card Concept challenge anyway. Then stepped away to go to bed since I was tired, but then couldn't sleep until it was done. Does anyone else ever do that?  (It isn't the first for me!)
Anywho.... I got back up and quickly finished the card as it was pretty simple. There isn't a lot to it, but I liked the way it turned out and actually got an idea for another card in the process. :-)  So hopefully I'll be able to get that card done too.

Here's the inspiration...

Here's my card...

I'm really like gray and yellow together lately, so I decided to use that. I colored the doily with Distress Stain in Wild Honey and adhered it to the card. I then cut off what was hanging over and added it for more layers. Stamped my sentiment (Simon Says Stamp) on vellum (Martha Stewart) and embossed it in Silver embossing powder (Recollections). I noticed it looks white in the picture, but it really is silver. In the container I thought it was gray, opps!  Then added a few rhinestones (Hero Arts- thanks Deborah Nolan!)

Hope you like it and are having a wonderful long weekend. Thanks for stopping by!
Monica
